Showcasing our project and the alliance behind it, highlighting how cooperation makes ambitious bio-based business models possible in rural areas.
From April 7 to 9, the city of Vic (Catalonia, Spain) hosted the ERIAFF & 4th BIT Congress, a unique gathering of European regions committed to bioeconomy and sustainable rural innovation.
Brilian proudly contributed to this event through several key actions that underlined the strength of strategic collaboration in accelerating the green transition in rural areas. The latest edition of ERIAFF & 4th BIT Congress, held in Vic, Catalonia, became a key meeting point for European regions committed to advancing towards more sustainable and circular economic models.Bioeconomy and rural development: a shared mission

On the second day of the congress, Brilian took part in a high-level roundtable focused on business perspectives in the transition to bio-based products and services. This session directly aligned with Brilian’s purpose: enabling cooperative, scalable and inclusive bioeconomy models in rural territories.
The panel included top-level speakers such as:
Moderated by Víctor Falguera, General Coordinator at BioHubCat, the discussion provided valuable insights into public-private cooperation, funding instruments, and the future of bio-based value chains in Europe.
A project made possible by collaboration
Brilian was also present in the exhibition space with a poster presentation highlighting the project’s core goals:
The presence at ERIAFF was also a great opportunity to present the strategic alliance behind Brilian, a network of clusters, regions, and research partners committed to empowering rural territories through innovation and collaboration.
Because projects like Brilian are not just about technology or business models: they are about building bridges between regions, connecting capabilities, and enabling long-term partnerships that bring impact where it matters most.
Projects like Brilian would not be possible without a strong cooperation network connecting capabilities, territories, and shared visions across Europe.
We will continue working to make the bioeconomy a real opportunity for our rural areas. Find out more about Brilian and our actions at our News & Events section.
