The BRILIAN Project recently celebrated a major milestone with its Month 18 General Assembly in Thessaloniki, Greece. This pivotal meeting brought together all consortium partners to assess our achievements, refine our strategies, and strengthen our commitment to empowering rural communities through sustainable cooperative business models.

A Look Back at the Discussions

The first part of the meeting focused on some of the most critical aspects of our project:

  • Actions for the Bio-Innovation Framework (ABF): We reviewed the progress of the ABF, identifying key takeaways and aligning our efforts to ensure its success.
  • Maximizing Replicability: One of BRILIAN’s core goals is to make our methodologies scalable and adaptable. The discussion highlighted strategies for extending our impact across Europe and beyond.
  • Pilots’ Activities: Updates from the pilots in Spain, Italy, and Denmark revealed significant advancements.
  • Planning for the Future: Together, we developed a unified roadmap for the next phases of the project, ensuring our actions remain cohesive and impactful.

A Visit to CHIMAR HELLAS SA

A highlight of the assembly was the opportunity to visit CHIMAR HELLAS SA, one of our valued partners. The visit included a tour of their state-of-the-art laboratory, where their pioneering work in bio-based innovations was showcased. It was an inspiring demonstration of how cutting-edge research can drive sustainable solutions for the bioeconomy.

What’s Next?

This General Assembly was a testament to the strength of our consortium and our shared vision for a circular future for rural areas.

As we move forward, the BRILIAN Project will continue to focus on empowering primary producers through innovative and sustainable business models, by fostering collaboration across rural communities to drive the adoption of circular bioeconomy practices.
